Environment Agency submits formal objections
The government's Environment Agency has objected to the scheme and recommended rejection on two counts. The EA notes that FP McCann's flood risk assessment "does not comply with the requirements of the National Planning Policy Framework" and "does not provide for a suitable basis for assessment to be made of the flood risks arising from the proposed development." The EA also points out that the pollution prevention proposals do not comply with the council's own Policy (ENV 9: Pollution). It states "we consider that the proposed development may pose an unacceptabel rsk of causing detrimental impact to surface water quality because the applicant has failed to address the subject adequately."
